This is the state archives for Alabama, located in the capital city of Montgomery. Their mission is to "tell the story of the people of Alabama by preserving records and artifacts of historical value and promoting a better understanding of Alabama history."

Alabama Mosaic is an "online repository of digital materials about Alabama's history, culture, places, and people." Many libraries, archival insititutions, historical societies, and other organizations contribute materials that are accessible online. 

A special project of the Tuscaloosa Genealogical Society. The historic bound courthouse record books and loose papers, once stored on the 7th floor of the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse, have been preserved and digitized. A downloadable master spreadsheet is available online, with each page being viewable and indexed. Here, you can find some records about the sale and purchase of enslaved people, court cases, and other legal records. 

This digital resource is an online database of contributed historical materials relevant to Tuscaloosa's history, including photographs and newspaper articles. 

Located on the campus of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, this library's website  features a digital collection, archival collection, and research guide. Researchers can also visit in person.
